How to paddle the Geikie River without flying in!
We were all feeling pretty poor. And it looked like the flights to get into the Geikie were going
to be pretty expensive. So I sat down with my maps and looked at alternatives. I spent a
ridiculous amount of time colouring in maps, and
came up with the following solution: we could paddle up the Johnson River and then paddle and
portage through a series of lakes and rivers into the Geikie. A brand new adventure through
uncharted territory!
Most of this trip report was
written by Brent Clark. When I converted it to my standard format, I added some bits and
pieces, but most of it is still Brent. To make it even more obvious, blue text is Warren, black
text is
Brent.
