The Next Day
Early in the morning, the sun rose over Devil Lake
and lit up the trees, while every one clutched morning coffee
We had a relaxed day. Some played in the fast water at the foot of Mosquito, practicing eddying in and out, and ferrying.
Max was very happy to have the freedom of the campsite
But he did object to the presence of a large Newfoundland dog, who was fortunately staying on the other side of the river.
While Warren and Elaine portaged to the top of Mosquito and ran it, following the book, right down the downstream tongue
Evening brought out Travel Scrabble. It was hard fought as usual.
A shower passed and left a nice rainbow.
And the morning after, following the normal huge camping breakfast, everyone packed and got ready to leave.
