We were very pleased with our accommodations, One Beach Street, which was right next door to the Tropicana. It was basically a small apartment with a great ocean view. It even included a washer and dryer.
We had the usual few hiccups. For example, there was an “uprising” with lots of police and security which was a little concerning for a few days. We found the shower to frequently not have hot water, only to discover a week later that the taps were reversed and the hot water was fine, we just never used it.
We intended to cook a few meals in it, but always ended up doing that at Craig and Barry’s fancier digs. We did make our Nespresso instant coffee with sweetened condensed milk every day though. A surprise bonus was that breakfast was included at the small beach restaurant, Saphire. It was excellent, and we shared our breakfast coupons with friends many times.
