Shawn and Natalie Marshall, and Kim and Karin joined us on this trip. Originally, we planned to do some backcountry stuff, but failed to book anything. We are not impressed with the Parks Canada reservation system. Our fallback was car camping in the Lake Louise Soft-Sided campground. Failure #2 turned out to be the impossibility of doing ANY of the Lake Louise hikes because parking is simply not available, and shuttles need to be booked ahead of time. We had not done this. Luckily, there are a plethora of other great hikes nearby and we got in a bunch of good ones.
