A week with Bryan and Donelda at the Rocks. Gorgeous and deluxe accomadations. And the hiking is pretty darn special too, wandering in and around giant cacti and boulders.
The plan was to fly down, bumble about for 5 days with Bryan and Donelda, then spend 2 days on our our, then fly home.
Monday 2023-01-15 Fly to Phoenix
Our flight down should have been easy and quick and convenient. But that was not to be. It started with the flight being delayed, an hour, then 2 hours, then 3 hours then 4 hours. Once we got to Phoenix it got worse, because the NU car rental place, and inconvenient shuttle from the airport at the best of times, stopped because the NU car desk shut down at 8 pm, and it was now past 10. The Uber was quick and pleasant. We arrived at the Rocks way after Bryan and Donelda had gone to bed.
