  • Wednesday, February 12: Fly to Calgary, Vancouver and finally Puerto Vallarta
    • Early flight from Saskatoon, took all day to get there
    • Sea Breeze condo is very nice, but NO view at all.
    • Fancy dinner at Daquiri Dick’s, the gang and Kevin and John
  • Thursday, February 13: Wander PV
    • Kim and Warren walk up to the cross
    • Beach day, try out the new sun shelter
    • Dinner at Amapas, with the gang and Kevin and John. Chef Kevin
    • Jackbox games
  • Friday, February 14: Giant walk to CPC Furniture, Sutton Lee Seymour
    • The whole gang walks up to the cross
    • Giant walk to CPC furniture. This place is MUCH bigger we expected. Lots of really cool stuff, and lots of junk.
    • Canasta and dinner at Amapas
    • Sutton Lee Seymour at the Palms (Wizard of Oz)
  • Saturday, February 15: Wander PV and the market
    • Visit the weekend market at Lazaro Cardenas Park
    • Buy a sandwich or two from Patagonia Cocina Argentina at the market
    • Swim at Amapas
    • Sunset and dinner at Amapas
    • Evening walk along the Malecon and visit the chalk art expo
  • Sunday, February 16: Hike Boca to Las Animas Beach
    • Local bus to Boca de Tomatlan
    • Hike to Las Animas beach
    • Tacos at Pichon
    • Quick walk and swim
    • Water taxi home, see Los Arcos and whales slapping and breaching
  • Monday, February 17: Wander PV, Miss Conception
    • Walk up Gringo Gulch
    • Street tacos at Taqueria Carnitas La Santa Cruz
    • Amapas swim and roof top games
    • Miss Conception – 25 years
    • Derby Burgers for dinner
  • Tuesday, February 18: Disc golf, “home made” roast chicken dinner
    • Warren and Kim go disc golfing
    • long bus ride and walk and taxi to Rancho Madre Tierra Vallarta Disc Golf
    • Chris was very helpful, and apologized for the state of the course. They still haven’t recovered from heavy rains and flooding
    • We were restricted to the 6 baskets in and around the parking lot. We invented a bunch of different routes between them
    • Taxi was thrilled to return and take us back to civilization. We let him take us all the way back to the Malecon
    • We picked up take-away whole roast chickens from El Pechugon, for a “home-made” dinner at chez ChrisDarren at V177 Studio. Excellent meal. Cool studio apartment too.
    • Yet another evening at Amapas
  • Wednesday, February 19: Wander PV, beach lounging
    • Warren did a solo long walk for coffee, through the back lanes to Uncafe, near the church, Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe
    • Malecon walk to Leys for groceries
    • SeaHorse beach lounging under sun shelter
    • Amapas dinner by Sandy (peanut chicken), sunset and canasta
  • Thursday, February 20: do nothing
    • Warren sick, didn’t move all day
  • Friday, February 21:
    • beach walk with Sandy and Kim past Sea Horse
    • Warren tries eating again. All good.

  • Saturday, February 22: Sandy BDay Dinner at Las Palapa
    • Morning workout at Amapas
    • Pork buns at market
    • Explore the Isla Cuale Flea Market
    • Walk up Gringo Gulch to Balam Balam Seafood (shrimp tacos)
    • Walk the Malecon during parade preparations.
    • Dinner on the beach at Las Palapa.
    • Missed the parade because of timing…
  • Sunday, February 23: Hike up to the Cross
    • The whole gang went up to the cross
    • Warren and Sandy did Tacos Revelucion for lunch
    • Amapas home cooking Sandy did chicken cacchiatori
  • Monday, February 24: PV wandering and dinners at Pho
    • Stretching session at Amapas
    • Warren and Sandy had lunch at Saphire to reminice about the old days
    • Walk up and down the homeless stairs
    • Swim and a sunset at Amapas
    • Vietnamese dinner at Let’s Pho
    • Gelato at Jalato. Banana split was huge, and also had some interesting spices sprinkled on top
  • Tuesday, February 25: Yelapa and Cooking Class
    • Warren went to Yelapa and hiked to the falls
    • Sandy and Barry took ??? cooking class
    • Coffee from Petricor, mmm
    • Sunset at Amapas
    • Late dinner at Archie’s Wok
  • Wednesday, February 26: Fly to Calgary
    • Coffee from Petricor with Craig
    • Walk the Malecon with Sandy
    • Visit the market and buy hot sauces
    • Pack up
    • Lunch at Cafe San Angel
    • Taxi to airport hot cuz already in long pants.
    • Airport quick and painless, but WestJet replaced our airplane, so no entertainment, nor power outlets. Didn’t learn this until enroute to the airport
    • Arrived 11 pmin Calgary, and discored that once again, there was no shuttle for us this late at night, nor would there be one available the next morning. (11pm to 7am no shuttles)
    • Hotel/suite was excellent, and the same one we had recently visited on a previous overnight in Calgary
  • Thursday, Februay 27: Fly to Saskatoon
    • Got up early because, once again we booked a really early flight for no reason
    • Taxi to the airport, and an easy flight home
    • Picked up by Karin made it extra easy
