I stumbled across the Butterfly Sanctuary when I was researching disc golf. And it turned out that both of these operations are part of the same ranch. It is a pretty cool place.
The taxi ride there took much longer than it should of because I got us lost, and the taxi driver didn’t know where we were going either. It turned out that it had only been open for a week, having been forced to shut down for the previous two years because of Covid. But they are back in gear and I really like what they are doing. Very eco-friendly, with the goal of educating people about butterflies and their importance to our world. They are truely a butterfly sanctuary and not Disneyland. Krystian was an excellent guide and we loved learning about the sanctuary and their butterflies.
