Ben Biswell ( Squamish Sailing Ventures ) offers a bareboat skipper course. I signed up for it, along with Pete and Ryan. We spent a week together on Tarka, a Vancouver 32 keel boat. Officially, this was primarily to get my skipper certificate, but I just thought it would be really fun. And it was. We spent a week sailing, staying on board for almost a week in a variety of locations and anchorages. Yes, we all passed the exam.
My schedule was going to be 3 days driving there, taking my time disc golfing and biking Myra Canyon. Then a week in Squamish sailing. Then driving hard back to Emma Lake to catch the last few days of our gang up at Emma Lake.
