My team (Ben, Pete and Ryan) sailed around Vancouver Island in June, 2022. We pushed hard to complete this trip in 17 days, and succeeded in spite of some unusual contrary winds and gales as we worked our way down the west coast of the island.
Where did we go? We pretty much left from Squamish and sailed counter-clockwise around the island. A few overnight sails, motoring when necessary, and sailing hard in big winds when appropriate made the trip possible in the allocated time. We visited and hiked many secluded bays and beaches. Cool days and lots of rain made the adventure memorable. Sheltering from gale winds, and then beating in big winds around Brooks Pennisula made it even more memorable.
