Monday
Monday was a short day.
We were up early and on the water by 8.20 am. Mekewap is a small lake so we were soon at P18, a bracing 445 m long walk, connecting with Contact Lake, but far to the south of our earlier track.
From there it was a 6 km. paddle to P 19, retracing our P3 to Baldhead Lake, and soon got to P 20 and Cote Lake. At the other end of Cote Lake, we took the alternate portage, P21, which goes directly to Highway 102, bypassing the short paddle on Kusawao Lake.
We emerged at 11.00 am, 48 1/2 hours and 21 portages after putting into the water on Saturday.
Brent retrieved the truck, we loaded up and were on our way back to Emma.
