On the way back along Waskesiu Lake, we stopped at the Narrows Trail

         We were particularly looking for the lush Ostrich Ferns, unusual in dry Saskatchewan.

Unfortunately it was too late in the season and the ferns had given up for the year.

 

 

There was a long climb (104 steps!) back up to the road.

and so to Waskesiu, and home to Emma Lake.
