Day 1:
We flew in early morning. Because we had 4 canoes, we had to charter 2 planes. Weather was
so-so.
The Twin Otter had 3 canoes stuffed inside it. With its reversable-pitch propellors, the pilot was
able to back it up onto the beach.
The single Otter had 1 strapped to the pontoons. The pilot killed the engine and glided into the
reeds to unload.
Next we paddled off up the lake. Naturally, it was drizzling. Through a narrow channel, we saw
2 moose. Here we are eating breakfast.
We set up camp on an island. Some of us took off to explore upstream. The weather go
gloomier. Eventually, we returned to the island, and slunk into our tents. The rain got heavier.
On to the next day
